CNS for a 25 bed Emergency Department within a 325 bed private nonprofit acute care teaching hospital. The ED has as staff of 65 with 25000 annual visits. The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) works with patients/families, staff and systems to achieve quality, cost-effective, patient-focused outcomes within a specialty area. Focus areas are clinical practice, teaching, research and consulting.
REQUIREMENTS:
*Master's degree in Nursing.
*Certification in a specialty area preferably ED or CCU.
*At least 5 years’ experience in a clinical nursing capacity required; 5 or more years of specialized nursing with experience in evidence-based practice
development, procedural based care, patient risk identification and adverse outcome prevention strategies preferred.
*Expert assessment, intervention and evaluation skills; Skill in utilizing evidence to develop, teach, guide and implement best practices, professional
standards.
