Will consider candidates with Hospital based Nurse Management experience in any area (Med Surg, Telemetry, ICU, ER, OR, CCU) and will consider Charge Nurse, and Supervisor roles as enough experience for this Manager position.
This position has 24-hour accountability for their area of responsibility. This accountability encompasses: patient care outcomes, service excellence, human resource issues, fiscal management, quality improvement compliance, and communication. Emphasis should be placed on creating a positive environment that fosters professional growth and retention. This environment is supported by this position acting as a role model and as a mentor and coach to the staff.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related degree and Registered Nurse
EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years nursing work experience in the specialty or related area to be managed and 2-3 years Progressive Leadership (ie--Charge Nurse, Supervisor, Manager, Nursing Instructor) experience SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: hospice, oncology, home care, long term care experience a plus.
This position manages the West Field Office: Home Care, Long Term Care, Continuous Care.
Approx 50 FTEs--LPNs, RNs, Hospice Aides. Staff work 8 hr shifts for home care and LTC and 12 hr shifts for continuous care.
Position reports to a Director of Nursing.
Day shift position, no weekends; on call--rotating every 4th week.
Bonus eligible up to 8%.
