ICU Manager Overview: Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for day-to-day operations of ICU unit, HR management, performance improvement initiatives, budget management, core work flow initiatives, facilitation of inter-intra departmental communications and maintenance of regulatory standards of care

Ensure adequate staffing of ICU

Work collaboratively with unit council, validate schedules and manage staffing software

Measure effectiveness of process to improve patient flow, patient, staff and physician satisfaction in collaboration with CNO
-
Investigate major complaints, develop action plan in collaboration with clinical staff
-
Facilitate orientation process for new hires in coordination with unit council
-
Facilitate the UOR process, ensuring appropriate follow up and communications
-
Develop, implement and evaluate learning plans to support implantation of quality improvement projects
Education:
-
Current Montana RN license (can be obtained prior to hire), BLS certification, ACLS certification with 3-months of hire
-
Minimum 5 years clinical nursing experience in specialty area
-
Minimum two-years of leadership experience
-
Certification in area of specialty desired

Reports to Senior Director of Nursing Services

Level II Trauma Center; AASM accredited sleep center; HELP Helicopter and Fixed Wing air transport program with specialty transport team and CARF Accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation Program

Technology: Allura Xper FD/20/10 interventional angiographic X-ray lab, Toshiba Aquilion ONE dynamic volume 320-slice CT system and Da Vinci Robotics.

7-bed PICU, 22 bed Level III-B NICU

Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician and 4 Neonatologists on Medical Staff

Pediatric specialists on Medical Staff include Neurology, Cardiology, Behavioral and Developmental, Urology, GI and Orthopedics
