Clinical Nurse II, RN

Develops,implement and evaluates the plan of care for the post-op Open Heart patient, the post op thoracic patient, post op Heart Transplant patient anf the post op Ventricular Device patient. Coordinates and collaborates with multi- disciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care. Possess clinical knowledge and skills to meet the competency standards. Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice. Provides leadership for the delivery of nursing care in the department. Leads safety and quality initiatives and development of the staff under the direction of the Clinical Manager.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:   
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university preferred but not required 
            
Experience: 
Minimum of three years recent clinical experience and previous supervisory/charge experience 
            
Licensure: 
Currently licensed to practice as an RN by the Commonwealth of Virginia or one of the qualified compact states.
           
Other: 
ACLS within 1 year of hire.   Excellent communication and team building skills.   Demonstrates organization, work management and critical thinking skills.   Specialty certification preferred.   Current CCRN certification
