Job Summary for a 1.0 FTE Clinical Nurse Specialist / Maternity - 10 hour shifts

Full time position available for a Clinical Nurse Specialist with clinical expertise in major focus in Maternity, Antepartum and Neonatal. The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) collaborates with members of the health care team to enhance patient care by developing and supporting nursing staff and intervening with patients, within the specialty of the  Maternal-Child Division.  The CNS will function in the role of an expert in clinical practice, education and staff development, research, consultant and clinical leadership. In collaboration with nursing, medical and ancillary staff, the CNS will monitor the clinical care of patients and provide clinical support to improve patient care and patient outcomes.

Minimum Education/Experience:

Master's of Science in Nursing required

Minimum 5 years experience in Labor and Delivery

Required

Health care Provider CPR & AED certification from a nationally recognized CPR training organization.

ACLS certification/NRP certification

Certification in Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring

License/Certification:

Registered Nurse (RN), State of California.

California Clinical Nurse Specialist license or eligible to obtain license

AACN CNS certification preferred
