A paraprofessional who is specifically trained, competent, and performs assigned functions of personal care to the patient in their residence under the direction, instruction, and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) or Therapist.

Louisiana agencies are licensed and certified by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals to provide home care and hospice services to eligible Medicare and Medicaid recipients
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one (1) year full-time experience in direct patient care in an institutional setting such as a hospital or nursing facility or one (1) year full-time experience within the last five (5) years in direct patient care in an agency setting; is listed on the Utah Department of Human Services Nurse Aide Registry with no finding against the Aide relating to patient abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of patient property. Successfully completes competency evaluation and testing on entry. Must be able to read and write English and communicate effectively.
Utah Certification as Nurses Aide. Current basic CPR. Must have a current drivers license with current automobile liability insurance.
