The Service Line Specialist is responsible for overseeing the neuro/spine service production line within the operating room. The Service Line Specialist coordinates cooperation and collaboration among the OR/PACU/SPD Nursing Staff and the anesthesia staff to improve quality care. The S.L.S. can mobilize appropriate clinical resources when necessary to facilitate quality patient care and customer satisfaction while overseeing consistency in practice with current standards. The S.L.S. serves as a positive role model for professional behavior, leadership skills, problem-solving ability, coaching behaviors and interpersonal skills.
Facility Description:
Located at Houston, Texas, this 446-bed acute care facility and has been serving the medical and health care needs of the Houston area for 30 years. It provides a broad spectrum of medical and surgical services and promotes a continuum of care for patients and their families. This hospital recently converted to private rooms for all patients and strives to promote excellence in service to the patients and families. A new salary structure has been implemented to be competitive with the nearby medical center, and plans for a state of the art Orthopedic Hotel in the near future. This hospital also implemented many new and exciting employee benefit programs, and has completed complete refurbishing of some areas of the hospital, including a complete redesign of what is now Houstons most state of the art Cardiac Cath Lab.
Job Requirements:
Specialty areas are: Gen,Gyn, Bariatrics, CV,Hand, POD & Ortho,Neuro, Spine
Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing as Registered Nurse. Must have active RN TX License or eligible and BLS from AHA Healthcare Provider is required. Must have (5) years of scrubbing/circulating experience in service line required and/or previous clinical nursing experience in a perioperative environment.
Job Schedule:
8 Hour Day ( 6:30 am 3:00 pm)
